Search Technician
As a Search Technician, you will work as part of team to help find the Missing Person (MisPer), via search & missing person behaviour techniques.
Initial training will comprise of 6 – 9 sessions covering fundamental Lowland Search and Rescue techniques to nationally recognised standards.
Training sessions will include the following:
Equipment / Kit / Health and Safety
Search Techniques
Map Reading and Navigation
First Aid
Point of Find
Radio / Communication Skills
Crime Scene Awareness
Road Safety
MisPer Behaviour
Safeguarding
Water Awareness and Rescue Techniques
Training will be conducted both in the classroom and by going on outdoor training exercise days.
